The GradeSense Application
GradeSense is available in three modules each conforming to the PYP, MYP, and the Diploma programs. These modules can be run independently or combined. Many schools are in transition to the IB education system and don't require the full grade functionality as yet. Implementing only those grades which are IB is what GradeSense has been designed to do.
Development History
GradeSense is the brainchild of Jim McConnell, Founder and President Stratford Hall private school in Vancouver BC, Canada. Mr. McConnell required a grading program that reflected his schools allegiance to the IB learning system and nothing remotely like it was available. Working side by side with a professional development team, GradeSense was created specifically to aide IB schools grade the way they teach.Capabilities
GradeSense features the IB Student Profile. The Student Profile adds more detail to the reports by examining the students traits and learning disposition. These report profiles help to keep teachers and parents apprised of the students progress in much greater detail.
Into The Future...
The main advantage of the GradeSense application is its low operating cost and time savings. GradeSense is a web based application service and getting started is easy and requires no up front equipment purchases. Setup is simple using exported existing student data and importing into the GradeSense application. Another distinct advantage is that upgrades are seamless and any new features become part of the main program at no extra cost to it's customers.
